In Their Words

What the creators say.

The people behind these channels, on working with me.

Wonderful Experience! The work exceeded all my expectations. I couldn't be happier. 100% recommended!
Abraham E., Fantastische Tierfakten
Working with Moritz was a fantastic experience from start to finish. He delivered high-quality voiceovers with a natural, engaging tone that perfectly matched the mood and pacing we were aiming for. Communication was smooth, deadlines were respected, and he was open to feedback while bringing his own professional touch. Highly recommended if you're looking for a reliable and easy-to-work-with voiceover artist. I'll definitely be collaborating with him again in the future.

Process

Four steps, every video.

The same pipeline sits behind every delivery mode; your mode decides where the handover happens.

01 · Translation

Script adaptation that keeps jokes, idioms and pacing instead of transcribing them.

02 · Voice recording

The German track, voiced by me in a treated booth, recorded and produced in Pro Tools.

03 · Edit & packaging

A finished edit in DaVinci Resolve: a publish-ready German video, or a clean audio track for YouTube multi-audio.

04 · Upload & channel ops

Delivery, scheduling, metadata, audience management and reporting on the German channel.

Two revision rounds are always included. Approval starts with you; later, on request, sign-off can run autonomously on my side.

Beyond Channels

Documentary narrations via YouTube multi-audio.

YouTube's multi-language audio feature means you don't need a German channel, you need a German audio track. Same video, same view count, native German voice. Three samples currently shipping below.

Case Study · Creative Ops

The operating discipline behind the output.

Worried a single freelancer can't handle weekly volume? Here is how I run a production engine. I rebuilt a stalled, high-volume ad operation into a measured, lower-cost system: distributed team, daily reporting, a backlog that turned the corner.

About

Berlin-based. Since 2018.

I'm Moritz Seipke. I've been doing German localization for international YouTube creators since 2018, first as a voice-over freelancer and now as a full-stack localization partner running channels end-to-end.

My approach is operator-first. I treat each channel I run as if it were my own, which means tight delivery and careful brand-voice work. I'm a single freelancer, not an agency, so you always talk to the person doing the work.

I work in Pro Tools and DaVinci Resolve. For YouTube delivery I record from a treated home booth. Recording engineering for AAA game audio at GlobaLoc Berlin is separate work, as is German game localization at elandir.games, and not part of this YouTube service.

FAQ

Questions creators actually ask.

How much does German YouTube localization cost?+
German voice-over starts at $600 per video (up to 15 minutes), translation + voice-over from $1,000, full localization from $1,500 per video, and end-to-end channel operations from $5,000 per month. Every channel is scoped individually, with volume pricing for weekly cadence. A fixed quote follows within 48 hours after a call.
How fast is the turnaround?+
Standard turnaround is 1 to 2 days per video. For channels on a weekly cadence, delivery runs on a fixed schedule so your German uploads never lag behind the English originals.
Is this AI dubbing?+
No. Every German track is voiced by me in a treated booth, with a translation that adapts jokes, idioms and pacing instead of transcribing them. Synthetic dubbing gets you a German audio file; it doesn't get you a German audience. The 220K subscribers built across the channels here listened to a human. For the full data comparison, including what YouTube's free auto-dubbing does well, see Is a German audio track worth it? The data.
What's the difference between voice-over only and full localization?+
Voice-over only: I voice your provided German script, delivered as a clean audio track, ideal for YouTube's multi-audio feature. Translation + VO adds the script adaptation. Full localization delivers a finished, publish-ready German video. Channel operations runs the entire German channel from $5,000 per month, production included and not billed per video on top: delivery, scheduling, metadata, audience management and reporting.
Can one person keep up with weekly volume?+
The track record: 2,000+ localized videos since 2018 works out to roughly 5 deliveries per week, sustained over eight years. For channels on a weekly cadence, delivery runs on a fixed schedule so your German uploads never lag behind the English originals. And if illness or downtime ever hits, pre-production buffers, fast communication and vetted colleagues who cover editing and publishing keep the schedule intact. The narration you hear is always me.
Is it always your voice on every video?+
Yes. One voice, from your first video to your last. Colleagues cover editing and publishing if I'm ever out, but the narration you hear is always me. That consistency is the whole point of a single specialist over an agency: your German audience hears the same voice across the entire catalog.
Do you work with my team or run the German channel yourself?+
Both models exist. Some creators plug my deliveries into their own upload workflow; others hand over the German channel completely as a monthly retainer. Either way you talk directly to the person doing the work. I'm a single freelancer, not an agency.
Who owns the German channel, the scripts and the audio?+
You do, always: the channel, every upload, all scripts and all audio files. If we ever part ways, handover happens however you want it: full written documentation, a handover call, or both.
What are the payment terms?+
Payment terms are net-30 at most, and purchase orders can be issued. All prices are net of VAT.
Can you localize games or podcasts too?+
Yes, as separate services: German game localization at elandir.games and podcast translation & localization. This site focuses purely on YouTube.
